Summary
This project examines STEM education in small schools in Jeju, South Korea, in the context of declining school-age populations. It explores how changes in school communities and provision shape young people’s opportunities to participate in STEM and their aspirations for further study and future careers.
Drawing on ethnographic research, the study considers how small schools respond to demographic change and what their experiences can contribute to education policy and practice.
